Sip of Aloha’s Silent Art Auction Call to Artists

Sip of Aloha will feature a silent art auction.

Artists are asked to create and submit a piece of art around the theme of the art auction, “Restoring Justice to Native Hawaiians.”

There is no entry fee.  Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works in all mediums will be accepted.  Each piece of art is to include a found object in an effort to promote the idea of reduce, reuse, recycle in all aspects of society, including art.

Artists will be able to keep a named percentage of the going price at the silent auction if they desire or can choose to donate all of the proceeds to support free youth financial education.

Deadline for artists submissions is August 28, 2014, 5p.  Click here for the submission form.

To get more involved (such as to volunteer on the Sip of Aloha Art Auction committee) or for questions or comments, please contact Helene Edelstein at helene@hawaiiancommunity.net or (808) 587-7652.
